June 2003 - Prairie Schooner

Patterned after the Conestoga style wagon, our Prairie Schooner has been meticulously restored from native materials.

July  2003 - 1947 Mack Fire Truck

Our Mack Fire Truck, first placed in service in Burlington in 1948, has never been modified from the original condition.

August  2003 - 1882 Coffey County Fair Book

The oldest fair book we have in our collection. It is one of the artifacts in the new exhibit celebrating and commemorating the state’s longest running, consecutive county fair. 

September 2003 - 1800's Coffin Collection
PIC00001.JPG (48440 bytes) Built sometime between 1871 and 1896, our collection of hand crafted coffins was donated to the Museum by Mr. and Mrs. Gene Amos.

October 2003 - Williamson House

November 2003 - Vietnam Statue

December 2003 - Model 1816 Springfield Musket
musket1.jpg (551861 bytes) The 1816 musket was originally produced in the Harpers Ferry and Springfield Arsenals between 1816-44, taking the design from the famous 1777 French muskets.
