2004 - Kenmore Iron Press |
|

|
Rebecca
Vannocker writes, “My mother received this press for Christmas in the late
1950s and was very disappointed. It
was a Christmas gift from my father to her.
My brother said he remembered the disappointed look on her face!
She used it a little to press/ iron the 100% cotton shirts of this time -
my father and my two brothers as well as linens.
I believe she even ironed sheets! I
would like to donate this to the museum in memory of my mother - Louise Aldine
Crane. She worked very hard all her
life and was a wonderful housewife, mother, and wife to my father, Ralph
Crane.”
